should the product be refrigerated?

Yes, please keep the product in the refrigerator. 

It is a living product, so it will change over time, as all ferments do. By keeping the sauce in the fridge, it slows down the fermentation, keeping the flavors more consistent longer.

If the product was damaged in transit or the incorrect item was shipped, please let us know at info@forwardroots.com within 3 days of receiving the shipment, along with photos of packaging materials and damaged goods.

SHIPMENT POLICY

All orders are shipped between Mondays-Wednesdays. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

During times of extreme weather, forward ROOTS reserves the right to hold your order until we can ensure safer shipping conditions.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders or out of stock due to supply issues, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.

forward ROOTS is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping.

We are not liable for damages caused by unattended packages.

Due to the sensitive nature of our products, we cannot ship to PO Box addresses. We require a street address. Currently, we ship only to the 48 contiguous states. We are unable to ship to APO addresses or outside of the USA.

Do Refrigerate Your Fermented Products Upon Receipt.

the lid on the jar is bulging, is it safe to eat?

Yes, your products will continue to ferment during its journey to you. The pressure inside the jar can cause the lid to bulge or leak due to the natural gas buildup - it’s a good thing because these are active living products, naturally fermented.
